Shopping in Belhaven (2 ½ hours)
With a rich cultural heritage that spans over two centuries, Belhaven has been home to countless merchants and shops, each with their own unique offerings. That tradition continues today: eclectic shops and boutiques line the historic district and offer a wide range of items, antiques, and curiosities that can’t be found anywhere else. While shopping take notice of the architecture of the buildings.
Lunchtime: There are several restaurants in the downtown area open for lunch. You can find everything from country cooking to fresh seafood and a “beef sandwich”. Ask a local for recommendations. (1 hour)
Belhaven Museum: Open every day from 1-5 p.m. except Wednesdays and Sundays. It’s like no other museum you’ve ever seen! (1 hour)
Machapunga EcoTours: Schedule a tour with Peter to experience the beauty, ecology and natural resources of the Pungo River/Pamlico Sound in a fun, interactive, hands on way. Tours are available Thursday-Saturday.
Belhaven Tour of History and Trivia: Drop by the Chamber office (open Tuesday-Friday 10 am until 4 pm) and pick up your Tour of History and Trivia flyer. Find the asswers as you walk around downtown. (45 min)
Tuesday Night Bluegrass: Every Tuesday Night from 6:30-8:30 at Mainstreet Landing.
Return to Bed and Breakfast at 4:30 pm.
