Whether you are here for a day or a long weekend, there’s plenty to do in the tri-community area. The Community Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center is located at 293 E. Water Street, Suite 202, across from the Town Docks. We encourage all visitors to stop in for brochures and recommendations about where to eat, have fun, shop and stay while you are in the area. An inviting visitor’s lounge is open Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Belhaven is a full-service gateway to the Swanquarter ferry, which provides transportation direct from the Hyde County mainland to Ocracoke Island. Historic Bath is just a short drive away, as is the Pantego and the historic Pantego Academy. For the kid in all of us, Belhaven is also a 15-minute drive to the Bayview Ferry and the Aurora Fossil Museum. Goose State Park, Pocosin Lakes and Lake Mattamuskeet also are easy day-trips from Belhaven or Bath.
