The North Carolina Science Festival and others like it offer an opportunity to celebrate science in fun and welcoming settings. The Estuarium has partnered with the festival this year to offer an open house and educational play day on, April 8th from 10am to 4pm. “Diving Into Water” is an event to bring the community together and experience the science, conservation, and art of our waters. We will feature classes and crafts on aquatic toxicology, conservation and the art of fish printing, as well as informational booths from Aurora Fossil Museum, Sound Rivers, Love A Sea Turtle, and more. Sylvan Heights Bird Park will also be visiting with a few of their birds and programs on waterfowl. River Roving boat rides will be available to some lucky visitors and we’ll be running a Shark Fin Film Festival throughout the day. Admission is Free for the event.
