Festive Fridays are happening this Christmas season in downtown Washington. Buy local this year with the help of downtown shops that will be staying open late on Friday nights to make your shopping easier. While you are here, enjoy the festive lights, savor a good meal and spend time making this season a little brighter. Festival Fridays will occur through December 18th. The first weekend of December in Washington has come to be known as Hometown Holidays. This weekend is full of events like the annual Christmas Parade, Christmas Tour of Homes, the Kris Kringle Craft Show, and more. Swinging Through the Holidays at the Turnage Theatre on Saturday night will be the perfect musical accompaniment for Hometown Holidays. You won’t want to miss the lights on the Pamlico from the lighted boat contest that begins on December 5 along the Washington waterfront. Enjoy all that Washington has to offer this weekend and every other day this month. #hometownholidays
