The arts are alive in Belhaven. You can see for yourself!
Downtown is home to the Belhaven Arts Council, an active group of artisans whose mission is to “advance Belhaven through the arts and creativity”. Art can also be found at Coastal Cottage Life on Haslin Street and Pungo River Boutique on Allen Street. Art classes are held at two local shops in town.
Arts of the Pamlico, one of the oldest arts councils in the state and plans are underway to bring a Blue Grass Festival to Belhaven in January 2020. The NC Estuarium in nearby Washington presents exciting exhibits and programs throughout the year for art-lovers of every kind.
It’s not just about the visual arts in Belhaven! Everyone knows the Inner Banks loves music. Join a group of local musicans every Tuesday night at Belhaven Main Street Landing for some bluegrass, gospel and country music! Come with your instument to play or just come to listen and enjoy.
